Creative direction and design across identities, campaigns, editorial, digital experiences, entertainment, live events, and nonprofit causes.
I create and lead work across the entire brand experience — from identity and campaigns to editorial, digital platforms, entertainment, and live experiences. The work connects business objectives with creative ambition: strategy defines what matters, storytelling gives it meaning, concept gives it form, creative direction brings it together, systems make it scalable, and design and craft make it real.
Concepts built to get noticed and travel — through art direction, copy, photography, video, advertising, print, digital, social, and physical environments.
UX, websites, microsites, digital platforms, content systems, and scalable design systems that make the brand intuitive to experience — and easier for teams to build on.
Books, publications, reports, research, data visualization, infographics, and information design that turn dense or complex content into something clear, engaging, and worth reading.
Digital campaigns for film and television, extending entertainment across interactive, web, social, and emerging platforms.
Brand strategy, naming, visual identities, design systems, guidelines, packaging, and applications that create a distinct, recognizable brand — and keep it coherent as it grows.
Event identities, campaigns, stages, environments, signage, presentations, video, and content that work together to create one cohesive experience — from invitation to final curtain.
Branding, campaigns, publications, digital, and event creative that help mission-driven organizations communicate what matters, reach the people who matter, and move them to act.
A selection of organizations I've partnered with across technology, entertainment, hospitality, culture, research, and social impact. Great work starts with strong partnerships — and the trust to push it further.

Tooey Courtemanche
Founder & CEO, Procore
I'm a creative director and UX-certified designer, but creativity has never fit neatly into one title. I'm also a photographer, author, musician, performer, and ICF-certified executive coach. Each discipline has shaped how I see, tell stories, solve problems, and lead.
My career has moved across technology, entertainment, hospitality, culture, research, and nonprofit organizations — building brands and identities, campaigns and publications, digital experiences and systems, live events, and multidisciplinary creative teams. I move comfortably between strategy and execution: shaping the story, building the system, directing the work, and getting hands-on when the work demands it.
I'm a builder at heart. I like creating things that can grow: brands with room to evolve, design systems that make great work easier to produce, creative operations that bring clarity to complexity, and teams that become stronger and more capable over time. For me, systems thinking isn't separate from creativity — it's how ambitious creative work scales without losing what made it distinctive in the first place.
That thinking was shaped in part by more than a decade at Procore, where I grew from hands-on designer to creative leader as the company evolved from a construction technology startup into a global SaaS company with more than 4,000 employees and an $11B IPO. Along the way, I built its brand design system from the ground up and led a multidisciplinary creative organization — experiences that taught me as much about scale, change, and leadership as they did about design.
Becoming an ICF-certified executive coach added another dimension to how I lead. It strengthened my ability to ask better questions, set clear standards, develop talented people, navigate complexity, and create the conditions for teams to do work they're proud of.
Through it all, every discipline has taught me something:
Technology taught me scale.
Design taught me to think in systems.
Coaching taught me to listen.
Photography taught me composition.
Film taught me pacing.
Comedy taught me timing.
Music taught me harmony.
For creative direction, brand development, collaborations, leadership opportunities, or projects that don't fit neatly into a category — I'd love to hear what you're working on.
